Control of stock levels
• Perform daily inspection on stock levels and complete a requisition for replenishment of items.
• Submit requisition daily to the Senior Clerk (Purchasing) to generate orders on Production.
Receiving of stock
• Receive stock from suppliers.
• Compare quantities against the delivery notes and sign for receipt of goods.
• Sigh for delivery notes to confirm that goods received are in order.
• Remove physical stock from the delivery area into the storeroom.
• Pack stock received on the shelves and ensure that they are in the correct area.
Issuing of stock
• Receive orders and invoices from the checker for issuing stock.
• Remove a stock from the shelves according to orders received.
• Each order must be packed in a separate bin and handed over to the checker for final check and signature.
Maintenance of storeroom
• Stock on the shelves must be sorted daily using FIFO method.
• Damaged/ spoiled stock items must be identified and reported to the Department Head.
• Books must be sorted and packed in numerical order.
• Storeroom must be kept neat and tidy at all times.
Ad-hoc duties
• Participate and assist with stock count responsibilities.
• Assist with service counter enquires.
• Assist in the department as and when necessary to achieve the department’s objectives.
• Grade 12
EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION:
• 3 – 4 Years’ general office and store work experience.
• Customer service oriented.
• Printing.
• Good numerical skills.
COMPETENCIES REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION:
• Communication both verbal and in writing.
