CPUT ECP Lecturer/Junior Lecturer (3 year contract): Academic Literacy

  • Lectures in the field of Interior Design and Architectural Technology literacy, particularly in the ‘Literacy’ and ‘Numeracy’ subjects in the Extended Curriculum and Diploma Programme
  • Deliver courses using Blended Learning methodologies at Undergraduate level.
  • Operate on Learner Management Systems (on the official University platform) over a range of courses
  • Participate in curriculum development and learning design
  • Perform academic and administrative duties in the Department
  • Participate in the Quality Assurance activities of the Department (Internal and External)
  • Participate in research and skills development
  • Contribute to community initiatives by integrating community interventions into curriculum design.
  • Develop and maintain linkages with industry and professional bodies on co-operative education, new techniques/technologies and research projects
  • Assist with marketing and recruitment activities
  • Perform other functions as may be assigned by the Head of Department

  • Competencies in coordinating the vertical stream coordination of ECP and 1st year subjects with the mainstream curriculum
