OMNIA Artisan (Instrumentation)

To Inspect, maintain and repair instrumentation within the plant as well as perform shutdown work. All activities, roles and responsibilities are aligned to the world class (manufacturing) philosophy, principles and practices.

 

Qualifications

  • Matric (with Maths and Science)
  • N2 or N3 Engineering
  • Trade Specific Artisan (Red Seal) - Instrumentation
Experience

 

  • 2-5 Years’ Experience in a Maintenance Environment as an Artisan in Manufacturing environment experience
Duties

Compliance:

  • OHS Act Compliance
  • Ensure Statutory compliance
  • Omnia Policies and Procedures
  • SANS, ISA and IEEE applicable standards

Responsible for MTBF:

  • Execution of PPM & Strategic maintenance work
  • Execution of PPM and Strategic Maintenance Inspections
  • Strategic fault finding
  • Spares Procurement or Usage
  • Down time and incident reporting on strategic equipment

QC for PPM:

  • Over inspections
  • Manage the Schedules for PPM
  • PPM QC Feedback

5S:

  • Drive 5S principles

Plant instrumentation Maintenance:

  • Execution of PPM & Strategic maintenance work.
  • Reliability improvement projects
  • Execution strategic Maintenance Inspections and report.
  • Strategic fault finding
  • Spare part identification and providing details for procurement or Usage.
  • Down time and incident reporting on strategic equipment
Job Competencies

Knowledge:

  • Omnia orders and job card systems
  • DeltaV DCS and Rockwell PLC and networking.
  • PLC programming and networking
  • Typical networks used in instrumentation – Profibus, ProfNet, Ethernet and HART
  • Good knowledge (Fault finding, commissioning, inspection, replacement and setup) of Pressure measurement, Analytical measurements, Flow, Temperature and final control elements instrumentation.
